As part of the WE BUILD Consortium, we are setting up a dedicated Payments Community focusing specifically on the role of digital wallets in the payments ecosystem. The main purpose of this initiative is to share our progress and facilitate a practical exchange of views with external stakeholders.
In regular online sessions we’ll share our findings from piloting EUDI Wallets and Business Wallets for payments and banking services for consumers and businesses. We will present the pilot solutions and outcomes, and share views on questions related to regulation, technology, standards, value to the ecosystem and challenges for adoption. Meetings will be held regularly and are open for everyone to join, subject to prior registration.
Through this community, we will present the payment-specific requirements and technical solutions being explored within the WE BUILD use cases. While these reflect our consortium’s approach to payment flows, they will serve as a practical baseline to align broader industry and public sector perspectives.
This is a great opportunity for Member States, financial institutions, and payment service
providers to stay up to date with the emerging digital payment landscape driven by the
project.
Our first online session will take place this June 3, 2026.
