Day 2 (2 September 2026)

About the session

09:00 - 09:50 - Room: K

This roundtable shows how the European Business Wallet becomes the shared trust infrastructure for corporate-to-corporate (B2B) business across Europe. Following a single company journey - from incorporation to trust, trust to transaction, and transaction to proof - we demonstrate cross-border KYC/KYS and bank-account opening in another member state, issuance of a certified, reusable IBAN attestation, payment using the certified IBAN, and a closing e-receipt that strengthens the transaction record and reduces fraud. Authentic sources, a wallet provider, an intermediary, supply-industry holders, and a bank discuss what this means for the future of B2B identity and payments, with live audience interaction

Objectives and outcomes

Show how the EU Business Wallet enables trusted, frictionless cross-border B2B KYC/KYS and payments.

Target audience

Policymakers and regulators working on eIDAS 2.0 and the EU Digital Identity / Business Wallet; banks and financial institutions (KYC/AML, onboarding, payments); business registers and authentic sources; digital identity and wallet providers; the Peppol and e-invoicing community; and B2B service providers and enterprises operating across borders.

About the session

10:00 - 10:50 - Room: Gamma

This roundtable explores what becomes possible when an AI agent acts on behalf of an organization, linked to its European Business Wallet (EBW). Because the company's verified credentials, legal documents and mandates already live in its EBW, its agent can carry out realbusiness tasks securely and with delegated, auditable authority - for example opening a bank account or setting up a company branch in another member state. From there the possibilitiesare open-ended: virtually any cross-border B2B process an organization needs to run. Co-organized by CEN-CENELEC, the EUDIW Group WE BUILD, and drawing on authentic sources such as KVK and Bundesanzeiger Verlag, the session examines the trust, delegation and interoperability foundations that let agents act reliably - and within clear limits -on an organization's behalf.

Objectives and outcomes

Show how an AI agent linked to your EBW can act for your company across borders.

Target audience

Policymakers and regulators working on eIDAS 2.0, the EU Digital Identity / Business Wallet and AI governance; banks and financial institutions (KYC/AML, onboarding); business registers and authentic sources; standards bodies; digital identity and wallet providers; and enterprises and B2B service providers interested in AI agents acting on their behalf across borders.

About the session

11:00-11:50 - Room: Alpha

The WE BUILD Consortium is demonstrating how the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet) can become a game changer for online card payments. By combining Digital Payment Credentials (DPCs), wallet technology and existing card payment infrastructure, the EUDI Wallet has the potential to deliver stronger security, better user experiences and compliance with future European regulatory requirements. This session will showcase two key payment journeys being piloted by WE BUILD. The first enables banks to issue and provision payment credentials into the citizen's wallet and use them to perform seamless Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) during online card payments. The second allows consumers to select the EUDI Wallet directly at checkout, using wallet-held payment credentials to initiate card payments while optionally combining them with verified attributes such as age, student status or loyalty credentials. Through a live prototype demonstration and panel discussion featuring pilot partners and EMVCo, attendees will discover how DPCs, DC APIs, OpenID and EMV standards are converging to enable the next generation of secure, interoperable and user-friendly payment experiences. The session will provide practical insights into implementation, standardisation and the path to large-scale adoption of EUDI Wallet-enabled card payments across Europe.

About the session

16:00-16:50 - Room: E

Business ownership information is moving from a world of central registers toward one that also includes eIDAS 2.0 wallets and decentralised identity. This changes how data is populated, how it stays current, and who can access it and on what basis. With the EU Anti-Money-Laundering Regulation (AMLR, EU 2024/1624) in full effect from July 2027 — harmonising customer due diligence and explicitly recognising digital identity wallets — there is both an opportunity to rethink KYC and an obligation to ask whether the system actually works. This session runs that honest question through every part. This session is a conversation spanning the full chain — the registers that hold the data, the banks that consume it, the wallet infrastructure that will move it — willing to ask whether the whole edifice delivers, and connecting the concrete EU regulatory moment to the wider international question of how business ownership information should be accessed and trusted

Objectives and outcomes

Comparison of global approaches to access to company information, with a consideration of how new developments on business wallets, EU anti-money laundering legislation and open data intersect

Target audience

Anyone who provides or uses company information as part of their work

About the session

17:00-17:50 - Room: E

The Digital Identity Wallet ecosystem needs a way for users to be recognized by a service over time, for example to recover an account or to detect known offenders. This needs to be done without enabling tracking across different services. We present a specification developed within the EU large scale pilot WE BUILD Consortium that solves this using zero-knowledge proof-based pseudonyms. The proposed scheme allows wallet holders to derive a unique, stable pseudonym for each service they interact with, rooted in a seed embedded in their government-issued identity credential (PID in the EU). When presenting a pseudonym, the wallet produces a cryptographic proof that it was correctly derived from a valid credential, without ever revealing the underlying seed. The result is a system where pseudonyms are stable within a service, unlinkable across services, recoverable if a user switches devices, and — when legally required — unmaskable by the issuing authority. We describe the full protocol lifecycle from seed issuance through pseudonym verification, demonstrate practical flows for account recovery and known offender matching, and discuss real-world deployment considerations. The work and presentation is made by Google, SIROS Foundation and the Swedish Agency for Digital Government

Objectives and outcomes

About the session

17:00-17:50 - Room: L

As we approach the EUDI go-live, testing and sandbox environments are not optional — they are the critical bridge between regulation and real-world adoption. The EUDI and Business Wallet ecosystems introduce complex, cross-border, and multi-party interactions that simply cannot be validated in theory alone. In this session, we will share learnings and practical approaches from large-scale pilots, national sandbox initiatives, and key institutions shaping the ecosystem. The takeaway is simple: structured testing and sandboxing are the key to scalable adoption. The presentation will be composed of key actors giving real-life insights on the topic (see organisations)

Objectives and outcomes

A shared understanding of why structured testing is essential for scalable EUDI and European Business Wallet adoption. Concrete insights and lessons learned from large-scale pilots and sandbox implementations. Increased awareness of ongoing testing initiatives at both national and European levels. Showcasing real-world experiences from key ecosystem actors actively building and testing EUDI and EBW solutions. Clear demonstration that interoperability must be validated in practice, particularly in cross-border and multi-party scenarios

About the session

16:00-16:50 - Room: Alpha

This session intends to inform the audience about recent activities regarding the standardization of the EUDI Wallet. The goal of the session is to present what European and international standardization organisations (SDOs) are currently working on – and how their results are being implemented and tested in the Large Scale Pilots. Since the end of 2025, ETSI has been producing and updating the technical specifications and standards (STS) necessary for the EUDI Wallet ecosystem, including the new trust services. CEN is also contributing to the STS, developing standards in particular in the area of security for the EUDI Wallet ecosystem. On the protocol level, the OpenID Foundation created the communication protocols for the EUDI Wallet that are now also mandated by law. A formal liaison between ETSI and the OpenID Foundation ensures continuous coordination and alignment across specifications, protocols, and implementations. The Large Scale Pilots are closely aligned with the work of these standardization bodies and are implementing and piloting the requirements from the regulation, the ARF, and the SDOs in real-world settings.

Objectives and outcomes

Inform audience about the latest published STS, their implementation and the upcoming work over the next years.

Target audience

All stakeholders involved in the EUDI ecosystem, especially implementers. Stakeholders outside the EU who would like to follow European standardization.

About the session

17:00-17:50 - Room: Alpha

This session gives an integrated view of the EUDI trust infrastructure and what is special about it, presented by the people who actually built each layer across the WE BUILD and APTITUDE large-scale pilots. It covers how the layers fit and interoperate, from the List of Trusted Lists and trust registries to access and registration certificates, trusted-list infrastructure and a credentials catalogue; what the pilots are testing and why; what is crucial for the trust infrastructure to support use case piloting; and the concrete experiences and challenges seen so far, at the start of the implementation phase and ahead of the ecosystem launch. It also covers how business wallets harmonise with the EUDI ecosystem and are anchored in the pilots' trust infrastructure, what their addition means for that infrastructure, and how sectorial ecosystems can be plugged in through EUDI's extensibility, such as OpenID Federation in education.

Objectives and outcomes

Learn from those building EUDI trust in the pilots: experiences and challenges ahead of launch

Target audience

Implementers, architects and policy leads working on digital identity wallets and trust frameworks: EUDI ecosystem participants (issuers, relying parties, wallet providers, intermediaries), other large-scale pilots, standards bodies, government and regulatory bodies, and sectorial communities (e.g. education, finance) exploring how to anchor their own ecosystems in EUDI trust infrastructure.
